Lost Pets
Isla Vista is a geographically small community but is home to the majority of UCSB students. Because of this the housing is packed in very tightly meaning that many homes and appartments do not have a secure backyard or outdoor area. Additionally many of these homes have a lot of people living in them meaning people are constantly coming in and out. This raises a problem for pet owners because it’s very easy for pets to wander out of their home and into the streets of Isla Vista. Luckily some are found, while others are not.
“Found dog!
Found the sweetest yellow lab walking around by himself on 67 DP at around 9:30pm. No tags. I went around to nearby houses and no one seems to know who he belongs to. My roommate and I are going to let him hangout with us (we also live on 67 DP) while we continue to look for his owner. If anyone knows anything about this sweetheart please message me immediately!” - Hannah Sucov, UCSB Free and For Sale Page 4/13/2019

“Hi! My housemates cat has been still not been found, he usually comes back within a day. Last seen at pizza my heart on September 8th and he still hasn’t returned.
Please do not take him to your apartment bc he gets scared. He does NOT have his collar on anymore, if you see him please message me his location!” - Kess Hazlewood, UCSB Free and For Sale Page 9/22/19
